How to read these signals and how they are calculated

FINDEX labels help prioritize your review. They are not a credit rating or the Financial Health Index from the advanced assessment.

Liquidity: Current assets ÷ current liabilities. Below 1 indicates an accounting shortfall; 1 or more does not guarantee available cash.

Profitability: (Sales − costs − operating expenses) ÷ sales × 100. A positive margin is not the same as net profit or available cash.

Liabilities: Total liabilities ÷ total assets × 100. Includes all liabilities, not just bank debt. At 100% or above, book equity is not positive.

Cash: Cash ÷ typical monthly payments × 30. One month is an indicative FINDEX reference, not a sector target. Future collections are excluded.
